Milwaukee Brewers so v ponedeljskem večeru hitro izkoristili napake Dodgersov in startérja Yoshinobuja Yamamota ter zmagali z 7:4 v 2. tekmi NLCS. Z 2:0 v zmagah vodijo v finalni seriji National League.
Zgodovina ni naklonjena ekipam, ki zaostajajo z 0:2 v ligaških finalnih serijah. Takšne ekipe so zmagale le osemkrat, v 51 primerih pa so izgubile.
Dodgers so v seriji divizije premagali Atlanto Braves, Brewers so izločili San Diego Padres, Rays so ugnali New York Yankees, Guardians pa so preskočili Chicago White Sox. Houston Astros, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs in Philadelphia Phillies so že izpadli v ligi Wild Card, ki je potekala v formatu na dve zmagi.
